have to clearthe following 5 rounds in order to be recruited:
1. WRITTEN TEST
2. GROUP DISCUSSION
3. TECHNICAL INTERVIEW - I
4. TECHNICAL INTERVIEW – II
5. HR INTERVIEW.
1. WRITTEN TEST
The test basically is on the following topics:
Ø Logical reasoning
Ø Analytical reasoning
Ø General aptitude
Ø English
Ø C Programming
The result was announced after an hour and the shortlisted students (25) were called for
a group discussion round.
2. GROUP DISCUSSION:
Here, they divided the students who were selected inthe written test into groups of 8 to 10 each.
The individual groups were called for the GDseparately, wherein initially they asked us tointroduce ourselves and then the topic was given forthe discussion, before starting the discussion we weregiven about 2 mins. to think on the subject and thenthe discussion started which lasted about 10 mins.
Some of the topics, which are given in the groupdiscussion, are:
ü Vulgarity in cinema today.
ü Is it necessary to do masters or bachelorsdegree in computer science in order to become asoftware professional.
After the group discussion 19 students were called forthe next round.
3. TECHNICAL INTERVIEW – I
Here each student was called individually andquestioned based on the resume.
For an Electronics and Communication (ECE) studentthey generally asked questions like,
ü Why did you choose ECE?
ü How do you think you can fair well in asoftware field?
ü Which is your field of interest?
ü Based on the field of interest ,the student wasquestioned on the same
.Write a program to insert a node in a sorted linkedlist.
2.Write a program to implement the Fibonacci series.
3.Write a program to concatenate two circular linkedlists into a single circular list.
4.A function even_odd_difference()passes the array ofelements.Write a program to calculate the differenceof the two sums of which one sum adds the elements ofodd ones and another adds the elments of even ones.
5.Write a program to reverse a linked list.
Results were announced after the final round (i.e., HRround)
4. TECHNICAL INTERVIEW – II
After the Technical Interview – I, again each studentwas called individually and questioned on Cprogramming language and the questions were also askedbased on the subjects done in previous semesterdepending on the branch chosen.
Some of the questions were:
ü What is a compiler, interpreter?
ü Write a program to accept a string and displayit in an output file.
ü Program to sort an array of data.
ü Why does the compile time and runtime erroroccur?
Results were announced only after the final round(i.e., HR round)
5. HR INTERVIEW:
In this round the student was basically asked tointroduce himself/herself along with the familybackground.
Some of the questions were:
ü What according to you are the qualities of aleader?
ü What would be your reaction to a certainsituation?
ü What is e-learning?
ü Do you think internet is the basic necessity oflife.
ü Can you work under pressure (better giveexample of a situation were u had to work underpressure).

ENGLISH SECTION:- 1) the antonyms and synonyms are exactly from barron's book .yo are requiredto prepare 750 words from the list.
2)The paragraph that i get was also from the barron's paragraph--the paraagrap of americannigro writers from the model paper no. 4.
3)The fill in the blanks are not belong to the barron's but they werw so easy.
APTITUDE-please solve previous papers of TCS aptitude questions are exactly repeated copy of previous papers
CRITICAL REASONING:- 1) new albio sanatory problem of one of the papers of baron.2)a problem related to five people in which one is speaker,one is writer and other and you have to find a group with certain restrictionsa problem of baron model paper.3)a problem related to football ,hockey ,basketball players it is also belong to baron.
the Q.2 and Q.3 of critical reasoning are very very easy and you can solve them also very quickly if you are seeing them first time.

3. Critical Reasoning: (30 min 12 Qs)1. A six floor building is given .there are 7 or 8 people .each floor contain two apartments. In each apart there can be at most 2 persons. Some Conditions are given as A is two floors above C and his room mate. Etc. We have to determine the person what floors they are staying (REFERENCE 12 TH BARRON)2. A and B are working at some place and are also the foreign agents of country C or D. It takes 4 days for docs to reach C and 5 to reach D. A stole a document on 19th and 22nd Oct. B stole a document on 21st Oct. They both mat for lunch on 20th Oct. An agent of One country could not directly sent doc to another country on this based three questions were asked like if A worked for C then in how many days D will receive a document.3. I don’t remember.Then we were given a blue form to fill which we were required to fill and bring next at the time of Interview which was scheduled at 9:15 A.M.

Technical round: Members of my panel were really cool. After greeting they asked me to describe myself (educations especially).All the projects were discussed in detailed. Algorithms used in projects. In V.B. do the function Validate gets executed first or lost focus. Which java server did you used?They also asked about my hobbies? The games I like to play? Why do you want to join TCS? Why TCS has been in news nearly for last one month? Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? What do you like at TCS? The environment do you like to work? What was your position in class? You had such good %age in your MCA then why so less in graduation? Do you know anything about TCS? What do you mean by CMM level 5?Do you know we have a bond of 2 years and we can send you to any of our centers if you got selected? Do you have any problem in that? We also have a medical round if some one is not able to clear our offer would be canceled?Do you have any questions? I asked that what are there future plans to achieve there mission “To be under global top 10 till 2010”.HR round: Here I was asked two physics Questions which I was not able to answer. Then they asked about my on year gap in studies. Algorithm used in my final semester project. My family business.
